Matt Carter, highly acclaimed chef and restaurant owner is a Phoenix native and began his culinary career in the valley. While he lived and studied food in Paris, he learned the true aspects of French cuisine and technique. Upon returning to the U.S. he worked at many prestigious restaurants including Christopher’s and The French Laundry. He then became executive chef of Michael’s at the Citadel. Dreaming of showcasing his knowledge of French cuisine and a of a restaurant of his own, Zinc Bistro was born in 2002. His love for Latin food and culture lead to the opening of The Mission in 2008. He has received many awards and accolades for his culinary genius and cannot wait to truly begin his legacy as the restauranteur he has always wanted to be beginning with NINE|05, Canteen and El Rey.
